In the second round of the John Abblet Cup Eaton Socon A went through with a 4-3 win at Wimblimgton Reserves, while Houghton & Wyton went to Little Paxton for a Hunts derby in the Reg Haigh & Arthur Peck Cup with John Morris scoring twice and Dan Davidson, Lloyd Howard and Marc Puckering getting the others in their 5-3 win. Eaton Socon came out on top in their Cambs League Premier Cup game with Brampton. Simon Wareing gave visitors Brampton a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute but a goal from Scott Kingsbury and two from Josh Sadler gave the home side their victory. Brampton Manager Adam Burnley said: Eaton Socon deserved the win, they out fought our side which, with a couple of exceptions, was lacklustre.
