Ryan Hawkins is set for a St Neots Town exit.

The winger is closing in on a move to Southern League Premier Division rivals King’s Lynn Town after they agreed a fee with Saints.

Lynn is considerably closer than St Neots to the Norfolk base of a player who recently spent four weeks on trial at League Two side Newport County.

Saints boss Andy Davies said: “Ourselves and Ryan are in the process of parting amicably.

“He needs to move on to get playing regular football, and a club closer to his home in Norfolk should be ideal.”

Hawkins joined St Neots in the summer of 2015 from Dereham. He was one of several players to be recruited from the Norfolk area by then boss David Batch.
