The clubs Hunts Senior Cup semi-final against United Counties League Premier Division rivals Yaxley has been called off twice during the frustrating run. The tie fell victim to a frozen Hall Road pitch on February 27 and the re-arranged clash was then thwarted last night (Tuesday) by a waterlogged surface. Rovers also saw a March 3 league clash at Leicester Nirvana postponed due to heavy snow before a home Premier Division fixture against ON Chenecks last Saturday was scrapped due to a waterlogged pitch. Manager Mark Ducket said: The postponements are proving really frustrating for everyone. The weather has been dreadful and we cant get the water off the pitch. We even asked if we could reverse the semi-final last night to Yaxleys 3G pitch, but it was already booked out. The county semi-final has now been pencilled in for next Tuesday (March 20) and will be played at Yaxley.Another last-four clash between the two clubs in the Hinchingbrooke Cup has now been pushed back from that date until March 27. Before then, Rovers are away at Boston Town in a league clash this Saturday. They have signed winger Ash Fuller on loan from AFC Kempston Rovers. He will be in the squad along with striking recruit James Tricks, who is also in line for a debut. Ducket is still waiting for the appeal over his seven-game stadium ban to be heard a month after he was issued with the punishment. He expects a date to be confirmed within the next week. Ducket missed games against Sileby Rangers and Oadby last month, but has now been given clearance to attend matches while waiting for the appeal to take place.
