Player-coach Lee Clarke and captain Micky Hyem have both departed from the Southern League Premier Division side the former on a permanent basis and the latter on loan. Clarke has ended an association of more than two-and-a-half years with Saints to seek regular football elsewhere. The former Northern Ireland Under 21 international arrived in February 2015 and was part of the Saints side which suffered an agonising defeat in the play-off final against Truro at the end of that camnpaign. He missed much of last season with a serious Achilles injury after being hurt in the clubs final fixture of 2015\/16. Clarke had a spell as caretaker manager following the resignation of Andy Davies as boss last December. Current Saints manager Matt Clements said: I would personally like to thank Lee for his class, experience, attitude and efforts in my time here. He is definitely a St Neots Town legend and the door will always be open for him at this club. The same reason is behind Hyems return to former club Godmanchester Rovers on a month-long loan. The midfield ace also needs game-time after finding himself out of favour in recent weeks, but he does remain part of the clubs plans. Clements added: We cant give Micky the minutes he needs at this moment in time. We all agree that it is best he goes out on loan to play regularly and Im sure hell do that at Godmanchester. Saints have won three of their last four league games ahead of a trip to Tiverton tomorrow.
