Town begin a run of crucial February fixtures when they entertain Lutterworth Town at Jubilee Park this Saturday. Other important home games against Blackstones (Feb 10) and Buckingham (Feb 24) follow with the results likely to have a major effect on whether or not Brattans men meet their target for the 2017\/2018 season. Weve said all along that finishing in the top seven is the goal, said Brattan. We go into February in a position where we can still make that happen. Having so many games called off recently has put us under a bit of pressure. A lot of other sides have put points on the board whereas we have to make the most of our matches in hand. We have three particularly important games coming up in the next month and we have to get results in all of them. Six or seven points would be very good . . . all nine would be fantastic! Town have seen three of their previous five league games called off - including a trip to Lutterworth Athletic last Saturday. They have recorded wins against strugglers Oakham United and Long Buckby in their two outings so far this year. Its been a frustrating time for us, continued Brattan. Weve picked up a couple of wins but its difficult to build momentum when having so long between games. Defenders Odie Wason and James Seymour return from suspension this Saturday. Huntingdon then have a re-arranged trip to higher-level Ely City on Tuesday for a Hinchingbrooke Cup quarter-final.
