ST NEOTS roared back from 2-0 down to claim a crucial 5-2 win over Newport Pagnell in the race for the UCL Premier Division title. With Kings Lynn Town drawing 3-3 at Stewarts and Lloyds Corby, Saints moved six points clear having played a game more, and effectively ended Newport Pagnells promotion bid. It was a good evening for Hunts teams all round, with St Ives Town claiming an impressive win at home to Wellingborough Town 2004 courtesy of Liam Reads 79-minute goal. In UCL Division One, Eynesbury Rovers beat Bourne Town 2-0 at Hall Road. David Fisk scored the first after eight minutes, and Adam Boothby hit the second 10 minutes from time. At the Hunts Post Community Stadium, two goals in three first-half minutes left St Neots reeling, but the league leaders recovered with a brace from Stefan Moore sent off late in the game and strikes from Dallas Moore, Kieran Davies and Dan Jacob. Pagnells Sean McBride fired home a 20-yard snap shot on 22 minutes, then Daren Dykes beat Luke McShane from distance on to put the visitors 2-0 up inside 25 minutes. Saints struck back on 36 minutes when a Theo Davis through ball saw Stefan Moore outpace the defence and lob advancing keeper Jamie Broadbent. St Neots levelled three minutes before the break as Dan Jacob found Moore for his second. He rounded the keeper and slid the ball inside the far post from a difficult angle. On 59 minutes, centre-back Dallas Moore put Neots 3-2 up, and the goal seemed to break Pagnells resistance. Kieran Davies fired into the roof of the net from Stefan Moores pass on 70 minutes to make it 4-2, and Jacobs 30-yard screamer sealed the win five minutes later. Saints evening was marred 12 minutes from time when Stefan Moore was red carded after a tussle with Newport defender Rob Tapp.
