LONG-SERVING midfielder Neil Morris collected Eynesbury Rovers Player of the Year award at the clubs presentation bash on Saturday night. Morris, pictured left, was all smiles after receiving his award from manager Matt Plumb. It was reward for an excellent season in the Eynesbury engine room for Morris, in which he scored twice in 29 appearances and also brought up 250 appearances for Rovers. Also bringing up 250 appearances in an Eynesbury shirt last season was David Fisk, who was named Supporters Player of the Year for his performances from midfield. And, for the second consecutive season, the Players Player of the Year award went to another midfielder in Ross West, while striker Lee Bassetts 13 goals in 25 appearances netted him the leading scorer gong. Other award winners Reserves Supporters, Players and overall Player of the Year: Mark Scotcher; Reserves leading scorer: Ashley Boness; Sportsman of the Year: David Fisk; Clubman of the Year: Matt Plumb; U17 leading scorer: Jack Perry; U17 Players Player of the Year: Shaun Chapman; U17 Managers Player of the Year: Dan Beall; Gary Whitbread Young Player of the Year: Dan Beall. Matt Plumb will continue as first team manager ahead of what will be his third season in charge at Hall Road. He will be assisted by former St Neots Town Reserves manager Paul Dodson and former Eynesbury and St Neots defender Mick McCreanor. The Reserves will be managed by last seasons first team coach Ben Cook. Cook will be assisted by Mark Inskip, who has just guided Eynesburys U17s to the Cambs & District League title.
