ST IVES Town will go to Peacehaven & Telscombe in the FA Vase on the back of another brilliant United Counties Premier win after they beat Thrapston Town 4-0 on Tuesday night.

Captain Lee Ellison scored twice, once in each half, while in-form striker Conor Washington added another to his season’s total when he made it 2-0 early in the second half.

Junior McDougald, who has just returned from injury, got the final goal of the game with just minutes remaining.

St Ives even had a penalty saved in their convincing win, their sixth on the trot after their previous run of nine from nine was broken when they lost to King’s Lynn Town at the start of Novemeber.

Add those two runs together and in 15 games, the Saints have won 14 and lost just once.

They visit the Sussex County League side Peacehaven in the third round proper of the national Vase competition on Saturday.
