THREE of the best gave Eaton Socon U12s their fourth consecutive league win, this time 3-1 against Over Sports. Jack Thompson, Jonathan Wood and Joe Donnelly were the goalscorers while Danny Bevan picked up the man of the match award. Bluntisham Rangers HARRY Taylor's early strike levelled for Rangers U9 against Priory Parkside but couldn't prevent a 5-2 defeat. Rowan Wilson was the other goalscorer while Taylor Jugg won man of the match. Rangers U10A met their U11 counterparts in an eight-a-side friendly game. Kieran Carter opened the scoring for the U10s and that was the way the scores stayed, the younger team winning with a fine performance. Some fine displays earned Blunty a 2-0 victory against St Ives Rangers A. George Davies and Ruben Pylee netted while Ashley Clifton did well to keep his clean sheet. Pharris Jude opened the scoring for Rangers U12 but Stanground came out 2-1 victors in the quarter-final of the Hunts Cup. The U13B team triumphed 4-1 against Godmanchester Rovers. Will Acton scored twice while Thomas Johnson and Matt Burroughs also found the net. It was a great start to the year for Rangers U14 as they won 4-2 at Fulbourn Falcons. Jon Garrett, Tom Murray, Jack Gibbs and Alex Burr scored the goals and Robbie Read was named man of the match. Rangers U15 returned to winning ways with a 3-1 win against Little Paxton. A brace from Dan Sterna plus a Tom Skidmore strike secured the win while Matt Norton did well in the midfield. Brampton Spartans A LONG range effort from Christian Le got the ball rolling for Spartans U11A as they cast aside Hunts Mini League rivals Warboys 8-1. David Hartley added a second before Thomas Biddle and Jordan Porter netted well-taken hat-tricks. Meanwhile, Spartans U11 were also winning 8-1, this time against Godmanchester B in the Cambs Colts League. Jonathan Wrycraft opened the scoring before Jake Hays also found the target. The goals continued to fly in from all angles with a hat-trick for Jools Arts, two more from Hays to complete his hat-trick and George Woof grabbing his first for the team. Jack Snare scored six times as Brampton U12 saw off Godmanchester B 8-0. Fellow striker Dewi Brettle netted twice as Spartans dominated. Buckden KESTRELS U12 Girls welcomed bottom-placed Heelands Rangers for the first game of 2007. Sarah Palmer opened the scoring for the home side before player of the match Hannah Allen added two strikes. Sophie Carpenter and another from Palmer completed an impressive 5-1 victory. The U13 Buzzards secured a 3-1 win against Chatteris. Man of the match Matthew Carpenter, Joe Pengelly and Harry Buchanan all hit the target. Eaton Socon A LARGELY indifferent performance from Eaton U14 didn't stop them recording a 2-1 win at Isleham to stay top of the table. The two Robs - Melanie and Barron - were the goalscorers. Good goalkeeping from Bradley Kircher couldn't stop Eaton U11s going down 3-0 at Godmanchester A. Alex Smith won man of the match but the hosts were just too strong. Godmanchester Rovers A GAME of two contrasting halves saw Rovers U13C go down 4-1 at Bluntisham Rangers B. Oliver Notley went close in the first half but the scores remained level at half time. The home side dominated the second period and only man of the match Fraser Gant's consolation gave Goddy hope. Lewis Gabb was among the scorers as Rovers U9 continued their winning streak, sending Brampton Spartans packing 4-1. Greg Goodwin, Callum Harcourt and Joss Gwynn were the other scorers with James Horrey picking up man of the match. Windy conditions didn't stop Goddy U11A seeing off Eaton Socon 3-0. Aaron Woods scored twice, with the other goal coming from man of the match Joss Ward. Rovers U11B played some good football against Brampton but came out on the wrong end of an 8-1 defeat. Tom Marrion scored the consolation with Jamie Wick and Jake Burrill the team's outstanding players. Graveley A FINE hat-trick from Ben McConnell earned Graveley U11 Reds a 3-2 win at Alconbury. Ian Donald was named man of the match in an impressive team performance. Great Paxton A DISAPPOINTING performance from Paxton U15s didn't stop them defeating Panthers 3-0. Tommy Simpson converted a penalty before Paxton doubled the advantage and a Panthers own goal made the game safe. Adam Mitchelin won man of the match. Huntingdon Rowdies A HAT trick from man of the match Joey Nicholson earned Rowdies U13 a 3-1 victory against Chatteris Town to move them into fourth place in the league. Needingworth CONSTANT pressure from Needingworth U11A paid dividends as Bar Hill Colts were cast aside 5-1. Ben Rittel, Jake Watling and a hat-trick from man of the match Alex Cook secured the win. Priory Parkside ELEVEN wins on the bounce for Priory Parkside U11A, who defeated Girton 6-2. Man of the match Joe Woolford found the net with Jack Bowen, Peter Clark and Lee Kemp's fine hat-trick completing the win. Parkside U11B returned to winning ways as they put Soham United to the sword by eight goals to three. Ross Coulson, Braden Smith each scored a brace while there were two own goals. Lewis Garrett and Scott Davis also scored with Coulson named man of the match. Jordan Brown opened the scoring as Priory U9F defeated Bluntisham Rangers 5-2. Man of the match Ben Loader scored twice with Alfie McGuinness and another from Brown completed the scoring. Priory U9R earned their seventh straight win, 5-0 at Huntingdon Rowdies. A hat-trick from Reece Keating won him man of the match while Joe Fraser netted a brace and Aaron Rymer did excellently in defence. A minute's silence was held before Priory U13C's 6-0 win against Newmarket to remember Inez Smith, a player's grandmother and loyal supporter of the team. Josh Crofts scored a hat-trick with Danny Cain, Callum Flain and man of the match Shaun Flack ensuring a good win. Parkside U12B earned an excellent 3-1 win at Saffron Walden thanks to strikes from Jacob Tose, Declan McGuire and Luke Seven plus a fine penalty save from Martyn Cosgrave. Ramsey WILLIAM Taylor's brace helped Rams U9A to a 4-1 win against St Ives Rangers P. Man of the match Rowan Abraham and Zak Stevens also celebrated goals. Ramsey U11s progressed to the final of the Cambs League Cup with a 3-2 win against Ely Crusaders. Kyle McPartlin, Liam Parish and Lewis Nicholls all bagged one apiece with goalkeeper Tayla Evans also excelling. Luke Warren's consolation couldn't stop the U12A side losing out 3-1 to Priory A in the quarter final of the Hunts Cup while Steven Lane scored the only goal for the U12B side as they went down 4-1 to Little Downham. A well-disciplined Waterbeach side couldn't prevent Ramsey U13 winning 4-1. Louis Shepherd's brace plus goals from Daniel Moulds and Tom Jex made the win possible, while Tom Heyes was man of the match. The U15 side earned another victory with a 3-1 triumph against Milton Colts. Sam Copeland, Chris Whitfield and Jourdan Webb all hit the back of the net for the Rams. St Ives Rangers MARK Walker and Oliver Loia were on target as Rangers U12A knocked Powerleague out of the Hunts Cup to earn themselves a place in the semi-final. The U12B side earned an emphatic 5-0 win against Great Paxton thanks to strikes from Doulton Kingston, two, Josh Fitzjohn, Jason Billam and Sam Taylor with Calum Ross man of the match. Rangers U9P went down 4-1 to Ramsey in an improved performance. Callum Reece was man of the match while Thomas Alfuth was the goalscorer for St Ives. A brace from Connor Withers helped St Ives U13A to a 5-0 victory against Haverhill United. Team captain Max Roberts also scored and was named man of the match. Adam Radley and Anthony Oliver completed the goalscoring. St Neots Town SAINTS U9 Blues played some excellent football as they cast aside Bishop's Stortford 1-0 thanks to a Josh Rea goal and Sonnie Higgs' man of the match performance. The U9 Whites went down 3-0 to the same opponents, Sam Cooke named man of the match. St Neots U10 Blues defeated Austen Arrowheads 3-1. Matthew Gilbert scored twice with Ben Hickling also on target and Ryan Vale named man of the match. Saints U10 Whites beat the same opponents, this time 9-0, thanks to two apiece from Matthew Allen, Ross Pirie and Frankie Higgs. Man of the match Jay Wells, Cameron Crisp and Samuel Pritchard also found the target. A goal from Tom Fordham won the game for St Neots Saints U11 against KC Cougars. Adam Newman was man of the match while the club wish to thank referee Bob Barker who has recently qualified to enable him to referee the side. Warboys HARRY Darlington's strike couldn't prevent Warboys U11 going down 8-1 against Brampton. Lewis Martin's persistence won him man of the match.
