GODMANCHESTER Rovers have submitted plans to build a new stand at their Bearscroft Lane ground. The new seated structure will accommodate 50 people, with provision for two wheelchair spaces, and will comply with Football League regulations. The two team dugouts at the ground will also be repositioned. The re-development will cost around £15,000, and is being funded by a 50 percent grant from the Football Foundation, with a further £5,000 being contributed by Waste Recycling Environmental (WREN). A donation of £1,000 has also been secured from the Godmanchester Community Association. Godmanchester chairman Keith Gabb said the new development, which replaces the 100-capacity covered area at the ground, was essential for the club to continue in the Eastern Counties First Division.
