UCL Premier Division Boston Town 0 St Neots Town 0 A GOOD performance from emergency goalkeeper Steve Fox saw St Neots claim a point at fellow high-fliers Boston. It was only Saints' second point at Tattershall Road in six seasons but the stalemate all-but ended the title ambition of both clubs. Saints had six squad players unavailable and made the journey to Lincolnshire with a reshuffled line-up that meant joint-bosses Iain Parr and Ivan Finch were pleased with a point. Coach Fox was named as substitute and was forced off the bench to take over from goalkeeper Jon Chatfield after just 23 minutes. After less than two minutes on the pitch, Fox had to produce a fine full-length save from Gary Nimmo before saving at the feet of the on-rushing Leigh Taylor. For the visitors forwards Barrington Belgrave and Luigi Rocco got little change from the home defence and suffered from poor midfield service. St Neots started the second half brightly when defender Mark Burrows headed just over. This was followed by two good attempts from Jon Hall who saw his goal-bound effort cleared with the keeper beaten before Fox needed to be alert to deny Nimmo. James Hall was brought on for his UCL debut and former Swindon Town goalkeeper Bart Griemink had to show his agility to keep out the youngster's efforts on two occasions. Fox was called into action again late on as he pushed away a Paul Goddard effort. * St Neots were facing Newport Pagnell as The Hunts Post went to press and welcome S&L Corby to Rowley Park on Saturday.
