The education facility is already used by 45 youngsters currently attending the clubs Academy and Football Scholarship programmes - and there are plans in place to expand into other sports from the next academic year, starting in September, 2017. St Neots owner Lee Kearns said: The Academy is an integral part of the football clubs portfolio and getting this support speaks volumes about what we are trying to achieve. The funds received are reinvaluable to the club in its ongoing quest to improve. St Neots now have links in place with the Longsands and Ernulf academies in the town as they bid to enhance the educational aspects of their programmes. And Finance director Jon Stump insists Mick George Ltd are only too happy to back the ventures - along with their many other sponsorships in the grassroots game. Stump said: It is a credit to the club to recognise that they have a commitment to the players on and off the pitch. Such effort and attention to detail appears to be paying dividends, with a couple of the players moving on to play at substantially higher levels. Were proud of our many partnerships with clubs in grassroots football as we feel we can genuinely make a real difference.
