HUNTINGDON Town Ladies drew 3-3 with high-flying Haverhill at Jubilee Park on Sunday. The visitors stormed into a two goal lead through Sarah Gee, the sliding past goalkeeper Jo Ventura for her first and lashing in an 18-yard for her second that gave Ventura no chance. Nadine Bowles halved the deficit before the interval beating, the keeper from close range. Haverhill restored their two-goal advantage after half time when a fierce shot from the edge of the area flew past the keeper. Huntingdon hit back, Bowles hammering an unstoppable shot past the keeper to make it 3-2 and coolly slipping the ball under the keeper to square the match a minute later. With the visitors hanging on Hunts almost snatched a win when both Lisa Alan and Karen Williams came within inches of a winner. Manager Ben Cook praised the ladies after the game saying: "The attitude was great. Even at 3-1 down they worked their socks off - we almost won the match at the death.
