The new St Ives Town Under 13 team are enjoying a fine start to life.

Brett Fairholm's boys have won three of their four games in Cambridge & District Colts League competitions so far - and the latest success last Sunday also provided a sweet slice of revenge for their only defeat to date.

They beat Warboys Black 5-2 in a Division A clash thanks to two goals from Alfie Lowe, a Jack Taylor penalty and strikes by Matt Lynn, and Tom Smith.

The Saints lads, who have received kit sponsorship from ABT Insurance for their first campaign, had lost 7-3 to the same opponents a couple of weeks earlier in the group stage of the League Cup.

They have also enjoyed two double-figures triumphs in the opening month of the new season - thumping Fulbourn Falcons 12-0 in their league curtain-raiser and beating Chatteris 14-0 in a League Cup clash.

And the new St Ives Town Under 14 outfit are also making their presence felt amid an avalanche of goals.

They have slammed in 54 of them in just three games this season while enjoying wins in three different competitions.

Half of that tally arrived last Sunday in a 27-0 drubbing of Sutton in the Cambridge & District Colts League Cup when Ben Smith struck an incredible 11 times. Charles Godsell, Isaac Everest and Zachary Hope all hit hat-tricks.

The Saints youngsters previously won their league opener 23-0 and also made progress in the Hunts Cup with a 4-2 win against Peterborough side FC United Hammers.
