It’s one down and two to go for the impressive Alconbury Under 12 Whites team.

Richard Ramsaran's lads collected their first honours of a terrific campaign when being crowned Peterborough & District Junior Alliance League Division One champions on Sunday.

A 2-2 draw against Feeder Soccer secured the title on the final day of the league season. Harrison Radwell and Ryley McDougald hit the important goals for an Alconbury team bidding to add two knockout trophies to their silverware collection.

They now face Peterborough team Hampton Blue in the Peterborough Junior Alliance League Cup final on April 19 before meeting them again on May 10 in the Hunts Cup showpiece.

Huntingdon Rowdies Under 12s are another team eyeing more than one piece of silverware. The unbeaten Hunts Youth Division A table-toppers booked their place in the League Cup final with a 2-0 Saturday success.

A fine Jay Parr strike and a cool Luke Fox finish ensured they eased past Brampton Spartans at the semi-final stage. They will face Stilton in the final after they beat St Ives Blue Sox 3-2 in the other semi.

It was also League Cup semi-final weekend in the Under 11 age bracket where Warboys Black and St Neots Town Sky made progress.

Tommy Dear, Will Terry, Jay Thorne, Alfie Richardson and an own goal helped Warboys overcome Godmanchester White 5-0.

Jeremiah Williams, Stanley Dawkes and Jaiden Bell were on target for the Sky side as they edged out St Ives Rangers Blue Sox by a 3-2 scoreline in the other tie.

George Pyke led the charge with five goals as St Neots Town claimed the remaining place in the Under 13 League Cup final. Nathan Buckley (2), Robert Jenkins and Arvind Rai also found the net in a 9-0 semi-final triumph against Priory Parkside Yellow. They now meet Priory Parkside Black in the final.
