St Neots Town 2, Blackstones 1
A LAST-GASP winner from Saints' Gary Walker gave the home side all three points against Blackstones on Saturday.
St Neots have now made it four wins in the last five and are steadily progressing up the league.
In a closely contested first half, in which chances were at a premium, Saints were unlucky not to take the lead when Russell Lawes' free-kick beat the keeper but the side of the post kept Blackstones on level terms.
Fifteen minutes after the break, the visitors went ahead when Gareth Williams converted a Paul Sheehan cross. Player-manager Kuhne levelled the scores for the Saints nine minutes later to set up a barn storming finish.
With time ticking away, St Neots ensured Blackstones would leave Rowley Park with nothing when Gary Walker beat the Stones keeper to a long ball and finished well.
St Ives Town 1, Stotfold 1
ST IVES slumped to their second consecutive home defeat, losing 2-1 to nine-man Stotfold, but the game ended in controversy.
With the score at 2-1, with just over 10 minutes to go, two Stotfold players saw red which resulted in a 10 minute delay but the referee failed to allow that time to be added on at the end of the game.
The visitors took the lead after 19 minutes through Ady Bascombe, but St Ives were back on level terms when Graeme Thackray rifled home after good work from Stefan Lewis and Dan Newman.
However, Stotfold sealed the win when Paul Harrington found the net before the chaos ensued.
* After the game, a fracas broke out at the Westwood Road ground, and the UCL authorities are investigating reports of criminal damage.
