ST NEOTS Ladies fired a warning to the rest of the division after a comprehensive 5-1 victory against Blueharts saw them maintain third spot in the league.
Saints recovered from going a goal behind to fight back superbly through two goals from Amy Wilkinson and one each from Sarah Moore, Sam Bradbury and Emma Ritchie.
The Ladies followed their Saturday victory with another 5-1 win on Sunday, this time at South Saxons. Moore hit the back of the net four times with Bradbury getting the other as St Neots completed a superb 24 hours.
St Neots Ladies III returned to winning ways with a 4-2 win against Hertford side Allenburys. Charlie Gillam got the scores moving but it was the second half before Chris Deeks added the second and Juliana Dickinson found the net after the break.
For the men, Saints drew 2-2 at fellow strugglers Redbridge, while St Neots II lost 3-2 at Wisbech and St Neots III went down to a 3-1 defeat at Bourne. A lone strike by Guy Newsom was all Saints III had to show for a great deal of hard graft.
* St Ives maintained their excellent winning run with a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Cambridge City III.
It was not one of their better performances this season but the league leaders did enough to grind out the result.
After starting slowly the hosts took an unexpected lead when Alex Drummond stabbed the ball home.
The visitors were soon level but Saints worked hard and re-took the lead when Drummond netted his second to give the hosts a half time lead.
The second half was an end to end affair and Cambridge equalised with a soft goal before John Marjason-Stamp netted the winning goal.
St Ives II visited Spalding and returned home with a good 3-1 win, while St Ives III drew with Cambridge City V, St Ives IV won 4-3 against Newmarket but St Ives V lost 3-2 at Bourne.
St Ives Ladies lost 2-1 at Hardwick in the league, though defeated Broxbourne 2-1 in the Women's Trophy.
A lively Cambridge University team proved too strong for battling Huntingdon Ladies, who spent long periods pressed back in their own half.
