HUNTS Fencing club hosted the County Captains 4 Weapon Team Championship last Sunday.
The competition attracted entries from across the region, including clubs from Norwich, Chelmsford, Northampton and Great Yarmouth.
The Hunts A team – consisting of Tracey Coates, Richard Sage, Matt Dalton and Dan Tozer – repeated last year’s success and took gold after a 40-13 victory against Chelmsford Regional University.
Silvia Earl, Joshua Coates, Andrew Brown and Ian Coates, who made up the B team, along with the C team of Keeley Hill, Chris Convine, Jean-Luc Janet and Jason Presland were ranked 10th and third respectively after the preliminary seeding round
But, in the direct elimination rounds, both the B and C teams went out against Bedford and the Norwich-based Affondo to finish 10th and sixth.
