Thirteen fencers from the Hunts Fencing Club visited Periers, in Normandy, for the 11th Rencontre International D'Escrime de la Manche.
Tracey Coates and Barbara Scanlon-Carling both made the individual semi-finals. Scanlon-Carling's claimed third place but Coates, on the left, progressed to the final to clinch second position against her French opponent.
In the men's foil, Chris Covine made the quarter-finals while Ivan Ward came 16th in the epee.
