First place was very close between father and son Steve and Ricky Ashwell, with Steve just ahead on bigger fish, but Ricky's small fish taking him just past his dad.
Keith Westerby was third from peg nine with four bream and bits for 13lb 14oz, and Stan was fourth with 12lb 15oz.

THE second round of the Wednesday Evening Series saw a couple of good weights then a very close contest for the other positions.
Graham Gooddraw was the winner from peg one with 19lb 8oz, just ahead of Stan's 18lb 12oz from peg 19.
Third place went to Geordie Best, fishing the lake in a match for the first time, with 6lb 8oz. Keith Ellington, who is also relatively new to match fishing, came fourth. Kevin Medlock was fifth.

The match at Six Islands was won by match secretary Keith Rayment with 26 carp for 125lb.
Paul Irons was second with 95lb, Andrew Kilby third, and George Coles fourth.

This week's match was fished on Willows, and the result was again affected by anglers having nets disqualified after failing to estimate their weights.
The winner was Lee Thornton with 126lb, with just one ounce separating Pete Ashton and Ian Vigar in second and third.
Trevor Oakman took advantage of the disqualifications to finish fourth.

THIS week's Golden Rod match was fished on Honeysuckle Lake.
The winner was Brian Taylor from Godmanchester with 17lb 5oz of carp, perch, and gudgeon caught at the edge.
Chris Young and Dennis Holliday were equal second and Keith West was fourth.

SATURDAY'S match was the closest of the year, with the top five anglers all weighing in between 10 and 12 pounds.
Winner on the day was Bob Stobart with 12lb, just beating John Swaim and Terry Kelly.

All three anglers are fishing for Spitfires A in the Plumb-It Challenge.
On Sunday in the first knockout match in the Plumb-It Challenge, Roy Lester, fishing for the Golden Knight, won the match with 7lb 12oz, but The Wagon & Horses finished with the better team total.
