ST IVES Town have confirmed that Saturday's FA Vase Fifth Round tie against AFC Shildon will go ahead barring a torrential downpour tonight.
Concerns over the weather and the state of the Westwood Road pitch had put the fixture in doubt, but after an inspection this afternoon (Friday), the club confirmed the match is on.
A club spokesman said: "This is great news for St Ives Town, Shildon and football in general. We are looking forward to tomorrow's game and we urge all Saints supporters to bring their friends and families to this event and support the lads in making history."
The club anticipate a record crowd for the game as Saints look to move a step closer to Wembley, and supporters are advised to arrive in plenty of time.
