Assistant manager Matt Haniver is swapping St Neots Town for one of the biggest clubs in the world!
Haniver, who is also a former joint manager of Godmanchester Rovers, has left Saints to take up a lead coaching role with Juventus. He will work for the Italian giants’ academy operation in Saudi Arabia from next month.
Haniver is the second member of the Saints management team to depart for a new challenge this season after David Bridges joined League Two club Lincoln City as their head of coaching.
Boss Matt Clements has moved swiftly to draft in another well-known and highly-rated figure to replace Haniver.
Former St Ives Town assistant manager Jack Cassidy, who helped that club earn promotion to Step 3 for the first time in their history in 2016, is his new number two.
Cassidy recently left a coaching position at Step 4 side Bedford Town, who were beaten by Saints in the opening round of the Southern League Challenge Cup last week.
