Sawtry karter Elliot Burton put his early-season troubles behind him to clinch a double win in the ICA British Kart Championships.
Burton, 16, was racing at the Shenington leg, at speeds of up to 90mph.
The Sawtry Village College student had been dogged by engine problems earlier in the championships, but turned on the style at the Oxfordshire track.
Burton shaved two seconds off the lap record as he comfortably qualified for the race finals.
After starting second on the grid, Burton took the lead on the third lap of the first final and claimed the win, fighting off a late challenge which saw him drop briefly to second.
The second final followed a similar pattern to the first, although resulting in a slightly more comfortable victory for the Sawtry racer.Picture: SUPPLIED
