The new St Neots Under 16 team have enjoyed a fine first season in the Bedford & District League.
They missed out on the Youth Division Three title only by virtue of an inferior goal difference despite beating champions Westoning Warriors in their final game of the season.
They could also count themselves unlucky to be pipped by the same opponents in the cup final where each quarter was classed as a mini-game with two points awarded for a win and one point for a draw. Had it been a normal league game they would have won.
Assistant head coach Amanda Pigg said: “The girls have done amazingly well and this is just the start of a fantastic journey.”
