Reigning champions Ramsey are back on top of the Tucker Gardner Division One table.

Taylor West's side stormed to the summit for the first time this season with a 195-run destruction of March at Cricketfield Lane yesterday.

There were more runs for high-scoring opener James Markland as his 75 was the biggest contribution to Ramsey's posting of 245-7 before their bowlers obliterated the March order for just 50.

David Carlaw claimed 5-25, Michael Cafferkey bagged 3-5 and Mark Edwards struck for 2-17.

Godmanchester might have been knocked off top spot, but they returned to winning ways.

Wayne Bradley hit a six to secure a one-wicket success at fellow fine-starters Burwell 2nds.

Tariq Aziz took 4-63 as Godmanchester dismissed the hosts for 247 and then also impressed with the bat as he hit 53.

Fellow opener Karabo Mogotsi struck 82 to give Godmanchester's run-chase a fine start but they wobbled as captain Matt Pateman, Byron Ovenstone and the big-hitting Simon Rose were all dismissed cheaply.

Paul Swannell clubbed a quick 42 (of which 38 was scored in fours and sixes) to steady the ship before Bradley finished the job.

Ramsey earn more points for winning batting first (25) than Godmanchester do for winning batting second (20).

An unbeaten century from Charlie Lewis was not enough to help Waresley to victory.

They went down to a two-wicket loss at Histon despite Lewis' stellar contribution of 110 not out which feature 14 boundaries.

There were also half-centuries for Ian Donald (58) and Jake Allcock (52) as Waresley posted a handy 252-4, but they could not defend it despite 4-37 from Allcock.

Bottom side Warboys continue to suffer from a shortage of runs.

Leighton Gilbert's men were beaten by four wickets by Ketton after being dismissed for 149.

Daniel Malem did offer some resistance with 52 and Oliver Fox added 36, but six men surrendered their wicket while still in single figures.
