It was a Father’s Day to remember for three Godmanchester cricketers as they were joined by their children to sample Hunts League success.
Captain Paul Greenhow and son Oliver, Paul Jefferies and son Olly, and Jamie Oliver and daughter Amelia all featured in a 19-run win at Warboys in Division Five last Sunday.
Oliver snr top-scored with 42 as the Godmanchester side amassed 175-9 before Amelia claimed a couple of wickets during her senior debut as the hosts were dismissed for 156.
The three youngsters normally play for Godmanchester’s Under 13 side. They were joined by another of their team-mates, wicket-keeper Mack May, as he also made his first appearance at senior level.
