St Ives Cycling Club enjoyed a hat-trick of home successes when staging the second round of the Muddy Monsters League last Saturday.

Liam Conway ruled supreme in the Under 10 Boys category, Ralf Falkner took top spot in the Under 12 Boys section and Orla Kenna triumphed in the Under 12 Girls bracket at Hinchingbrooke School.

Ralf Bicknell (second in Under 8 Boys), Cora Wood (Under 8 Girls) and Lily Gibson (third in Under 12 Girls) all pedalled to podium finishes while fellow St Ives members Zoe Kenna, Max Falkner, Harry McDougall, Emmie Cox, Katie Cox, Scarlett Brice and Josh Kelly were in the top 10 of their groups.

A total of 76 youngsters, from 14 different clubs across the eastern region, took part.

Four St Ives members took part in the National Championships, in Bradford, last Sunday.

Beatrice Pauley (16th) and Sapphire Curtis (20th) performed with credit in the Under 14 Girls race while Cecilia Hime took 14th at Junior Women level.

Angus Lawrence was 47th in the Under 14 Boys category.
