The top young talents of St Ives Cycling Club’s ‘Go Ride’ team started 2017 in style with a host of medals in the latest Eastern Region League round.

Twelve year-old Beatrice Pauley struck gold in the Under 14 race while Orla Kenna claimed silver at Under 10 Girls level at Trinity Park, in Ipswich, on Monday.

And there were two medallists in the Junior Women’s event with CC Hime taking silver and Holly Hoy earning bronze.

Other St Ives riders in action at the event were Sapphire Curtis, who took fourth in the Under 14 Girls race, Nathan Gibson (seventh in Under 16 Youth), Dominic Pauley (eighth in Under 12 Boys), Angus Lawrence (10th in Under 14 Boys), Samuel Smith (11th in Under 10 Boys) and Edward Lawrence (17th in Under 12 Boys).
