James Petzer (13) saved the day at Gt Chishill on a bitterly cold Saturday afternoon.
In a reduced overs match in the Cambs Senior league 3, Yelling needed six runs to win off the last two balls.
James, who had earlier taken two wickets for 21 runs, hit a four followed by two runs to win the closely fought match.
