Ramsey are on a roll in Whiting & Partners Division One of the Cambs & Hunts Premier League.

Michael Cafferkey's men eased to a third successive victory courtesy of a 59-run derby success at Godmanchester Town yesterday.

Mark Edwards starred with the ball, taking 4-39 as Ramsey removed their hosts for 139 to ensure their own posting of 198 did not come under threat. Isaac Love made the most sizeable contribution to Ramsey's tally with 39.

It was an outcome which means Godmanchester are still waiting to add to their only win of the campaign, which arrived on the opening day, despite boasting the game's highest-scoring batsman and best bowler.

Opener Tariq Aziz hit 61 for Town while Russel Withey bagged 5-27.

Eaton Socon are also finding victories hard to come by this summer.

Jonny Carpenter's side went down to reigning champions Foxton by 107 runs yesterday.

Carpenter's score 28 proved to be the biggest contribution of any Eaton Socon man as they could make just 154 in reply to the visitors' offering of 261-7.

St Ives dropped back to the bottom of Division One after being beaten by March in a basement battle.

The visitors arrived at the One Leisure Outdoor Centre propping up the standings, but collected a six-wicket win to send St Ives back to the foot of the table.

Captain Ricky Greiller (54no) hit an unbeaten half-century as St Ives made 219-5, but it was eclipsed by March, who were promoted along with the locals last summer, with 13 overs to spare.

But there was plenty of cheer for Waresley as they snapped a four-match losing run by sinking Wisbech.

Skipper Tom Griffiths hit 50 as the locals eased to a five-wicket triumph after removing the usually high-scoring visitors for just 127.

Aussie ace Michael Ninneman led the way with a fine 4-19 return while Josh Smith and Jake Allcock both bagged a couple of wickets apiece.
