Hot prospect Kaif Imran bagged 5-24 as Huntingdon & District 2nds saw off Falcon XI by 21 runs in Division Three. Umar Habib also impressed with the ball, taking 4-30 as Falcon XI were skittled for 78.

There was plenty of fine bowling on show at Sawtry too as they made short work of a youthful Ramsey 3rds side.

Josh Burgess bagged 4-7 and Dave Atkinson claimed 3-8 as Ramsey were removed for just 70 before Sawtry closed out an eight-wicket win. The Ramsey side featured five Under 13 players and two of them, Jacob Weir and Toby Harding, took wickets.

Upwood are leading the way in Division Three after a hat-trick of wins to launch the season.

Hayder Ali was the star turn with the bat as they saw off Biggleswade by 44 runs.

His fine contribution of 83 helped the villagers to 229-3 before bowling brothers Neil and Steve Tuffin took three wickets apiece to restrict the visitors to 185-8.

Multiple dropped catches proved to be the downfall of a 10-man Brampton side against Blunham 3rds in Division Four.

Four chances were spurned in one spell of Andy Watts’ bowling alone as Blunham piled up 257-6, with Brampton managing just 134 in reply. Only three of the locals’ batsmen made it into double-figures, with Andy Canham (47) being a stand-out performer.

A half-century from Jeremy Burrows, who hit 61, was not enough to prevent Hemingford Park falling to a seven-wicket loss against Werrington at that level.

Eaton Socon 2nds claimed a first triumph of the summer in Division One. An unbeaten 59 from Graeme Duff steered them to a three-wicket win at Waresley 2nds as they passed their hosts’ effort of 157-9 despite falling to 55-5 early in their reply.

Reigning champions Ramsey 2nds are finding life much tougher this time around. They slipped to a 117-run loss against Newborough last Saturday.

Godmanchester Town 2nds claimed a quick slice of revenge against Alconbury in Division Two.

Steve Marsh’s men eased to a five-wicket success last Saturday - only a week after being pipped by a single run against the same opponents.

Jim Lunn hit an unbeaten 51 to steer the Town lads to victory after dismissing Alconbury for 112.

Alconbury did relatively well to make it into three figures after being reduced to 47-7 at one stage.

Harry Tyler was the pick of the Godmanchester bowlers, taking a tidy 3-10.

It was the turn of Godmanchester Town 3rds to be involved in a thriller as they went down by one wicket at St Ives in a Division Five clash last Sunday.

Godmanchester were undone by the big hitting of Jason Coe, who cracked an unbeaten 141, from just 108 balls, to see St Ives past a posting of 216-8 with a couple of balls to go.

Himanshu Rai took 4-45 for the Godmanchester side.
