Huntingdonshire completed a terrific Twenty20 double over the Leicestershire Academy last Sunday.

The local county triumphed by 20 runs and 26 runs in two fixtures staged at Ramsey.

Home player Michael Cafferkey impressed with figures of 4-19 in the second of the clashes when Hunts successfully defended their tally of 156-8 by removing the Academy for 130.

They also batted first in their opening success when putting 148-8 on the board and dismissing their opponents for 128.

New Hunts team manager Rob Vitas said: "There were some excellent performances in both games and there is already a very good team spirit which is great to see."

Hunts are back in action on Tuesday when travelling to Uxbridge to take on the RAF in another Twenty20 tie.
