A mixed Hunts Under 11 and Under 12 team managed one victory from three games when playing in a recent three-day festival in Worcestershire.

The local lads overcame Camarthenshire, but were beaten by Buckinghamshire and Pembrokeshire at The Bromsgrove School.

Jairus Charles delivered a stellar all-round display in the five-wicket triumph against Camarthenshire. He followed up an unbeaten 49 by taking 4-7 from 3.4 terrific overs as Hunts eased past a target of 122.

Hunts suffered a five-wicket reverse at the hands of Buckinghamshire in their opening game. Divyeash Vaseharan top-scored with 20 as they were dismissed for 102 and Matt Mills was the pick of their bowlers with 2-15.

And Hunts also went down by five wickets against Pembrokeshire after being dismissed for 73 with only three batsmen managing double-figures. A fine return of 3-6 from James Pawley couldn’t prevent the Welsh side from easing to victory.
