MEMBERS of St Ives Town voted in favour of a proposal by the board to amend the club’s constitution at a recent EGM.
The board of directors, headed up by chairman Ashley Griffiths, recommended to members that the constitution be amended in order to satisfy the criteria that would enable it to become a CASC (Community Amateur Sports Club).
The changes were proposed in advance of the proposed ground relocation away from Westwood Road – and making sure the club is in the best possible shape, off the field, to do so.
Members also gave their approval to a limited company being formed, either in addition to applying for CASC status, or to replace the existing constitution.
Griffiths told The Hunts Post that they will now seek professional advice on both issues to see which steps need to be taken to keep the relocation process moving forward.
