MOTHERS across the district are preparing themselves for the full-out assault on their washing machines that is the new Colts football season.
Hundreds of young footballers up and down Huntingdonshire take to the parks and fields at the weekends, all dreaming of becoming the next Wayne Rooney.
At the Hunts Post, we aim to offer the most comprehensive round-up of Colts and Mini-Soccer football with at least one dedicated Colts page every week.
This season, we will also be continuing the popular 'Team of the Week' feature, allowing as many youngsters as possible their moment in the limelight.
For your team to be included in team of the week, send us a Jpeg image of the team and details of the team name, age group, league, home pitch, managers and any other information you would like to be included.
The deadline for match reports from the weekend is Monday at 5pm for guaranteed inclusion in the Wednesday's paper.
Email your reports to sport@huntspost.co.uk, drop hand-written reports into our offices at 30 High Street, Huntingdon, or phone the sports desk on 01480 411481.
Good luck to all of Huntingdonshire's Colts and Mini-Soccer teams for the forthcoming season.
