ROWDIES F had been away from match football since Christmas because of the wintry weather but made up for it with a fine 7-2 win against an enthusiastic Somersham Black side.

In what was a good fast and enjoyable game, goals came from Kieran Kirschner, Kai Linnell, Hugo Silva and Taylor O'Connell.

Buckden Black skated to an 8-1 win against Stukeley Meadows in a match that started late because of the icy conditions. Max Saunders slid Buckden into a two-goal lead even though Stukeley were competing well. A third was added by Max Stubbings before the break.

Joseph Dobos got Buckden back into scoring ways in the second half with a long range strike but Casey Stonnell-Fitzgerald banged home a penalty for Stukeley to reduce the arrears. This stung Buckden into action and Nathan Shorrock added two fine goals before Stubbings completed his hat-trick with a second-half brace.

Ramsey and Godmanchester both gave their all in poor conditions with Ramsey just shading the contest 2-1. Tony Wagstaff and Ryan Pratt were the marksmen that managed to get the goal in their sights for Ramsey with Adam Hunt hitting a screamer for Godmanchester.

On a chilly morning it was Somersham Gold that started the quicker against Priory H.

The early Somersham pressure delivered results with two unfortunate own goals before half time. Priory re-grouped and were soon in the game when a great solo effort by Alex Harris gave them the boost they needed.

After a period when both sides threatened, it was a long range effort from Murphy Culkin that dragged Priory level leaving Toby Hill to score the winner for Priory from the half-way line.

After a frost-delayed start, Buckden White and Yaxley quickly got down to the serious business of this mini-league encounter. After some Yaxley pressure it was Buckden's James Gould that found the net followed by a goal apiece for Josh Jarvis and Joe Brooks. Buckden keeper Ashley Brewer denied Yaxley a way back and the team scored a fourth before the break, again through Jarvis.

Callum Squire volleyed home for Buckden in the second half, an own goal made it six and Adam Brown added the seventh. However, there was still time for Jarvis to slot home two more. Yaxley's deserved consolation goal came in the final minute of the game to make it 9-1.

WARBOYS put up a gallant fight against Fenstanton Reds but still fell to a defeat. A goal in each half was enough to give the Reds a 2-0 victory.

St Neots Sky Blues visited Stevenage Town Hurricanes and had to be content with a scoreless first half. Blues upped the tempo in the second half and a shot from Joe Gore was well saved, but Ruben Rai was on hand to net the rebound.

The match was made safe when Gore fed Sam Cartwright who made the final score 2-0 to the Saints. Saints Dark Blues were also in action at Stevenage against the Tornados in a match that followed a similar pattern.

Goalless at the break, Dark Blues took a two-goal lead through Gary Evans and Cameron Fone before Tornados breezed in with a late consolation.

Brampton Reds started the match against Buckden Merlins in determined mood and Will Brackley gave them an early lead. Merlins replied with some good play that resulted in an equaliser but Reds regained the advantage through an unfortunate own goal. With the Merlins defence under pressure Tom Thackray banged home the third to give Reds a 3-1 lead at the break.

Tom Thackray then took up duties as keeper after the break and pulled off a great penalty save before a Brackley shot was deflected in to give Brampton a 4-1 win.
