Somersham Town Under 12s saw off opposition from four counties to claim tournament glory last weekend.
David Mackintosh’s side triumphed in dramatic style courtesy of a nailbiting penalty shoot-out success in the final of the Kettering Town youth event.
The Somersham lads prevailed 12-11 from the spot against Brixworth Jaguars to lift the trophy.
The tournament attracted entrants from Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire with Somersham coming through a six-game group stage and semi-final to reach the showpiece.
Buckden Vultures Under 10s also enjoyed success last weekend.
They reigned supreme in their age group at the Mid Beds Tigers Tournament, beating the host club 3-0 in the final.
Louis Deans and Oliver Goodjohn struck with classy free-kicks before Deans also netted a header.
It was a second trophy triumph in quick succession for a side who won the Huntingdonshire Mini-Soccer League Cup final the previous weekend.
