Hemingford Colts Black Under 12s are gearing up for the next stage of their footballing journey – after enjoying a terrific treble last season.
The village side, managed by Ed Shepherd and Martin Barratt, won the Division A title in the Hunts Youth League and also lifted two cups in the space of six days.
Both of those knockout triumphs – against St Neots Town in the Hunts Under 12 Cup and Huntingdon Town Rowdies White in the League Cup – were sealed in penalty shoot-outs.
The team are now moving to play under the St Ives Town banner next season in the Cambridge & District Colts League before stepping up again into the Eastern Junior Alliance in the 2019/20 campaign.
“We have a team full of local boys, who have really excelled,” said Shepherd. “We must say a massive thanks to Hemingford Colts for their support in the move we’re now making.”
Hemingford Colts Black Under 12s squad: Rocco Smith, Charlie Sellick, George Shepherd, Josh Tomlinson, Thomas White, Alfie Shepherd, Jake Taylor-Maggs, Peter Anderson, George Claxton, Cameron Redpath, Jensen Gosling.
