Members of the Eatons Community Association presented a cheque for £250 to the Eaton Socon Cricket Club juniors.
The presentation, held at the Association's annual meeting, saw outgoing chairman Sue Cottrell present U11 captain Joe Donnelly with the cheque, above, which will go towards new all-weather practice nets for the club.
Donnelly was named best bowler of the year at the club's recent presentation evening.
Mrs Cottrell said: "We were delighted to be able to present the club with a contribution towards their much-needed new practice nets."
INFORMATION: The club are holding a number of fund-raising events, including a race night, to help raise the money needed to replace the nets. Anyone interested in donating time, money or effort should contact Chris McKay on 01480 393580.
