BOWLERS had the run of the day as Hilton edged out Bharat Sports II in an exciting Division 5 Hunts League clash on Sunday. Hilton's Ian Jacobs wreaked havoc with the ball and claimed figures of 6-14 as Bharat Sports were skittled out for just 48. However, Hilton made heavy weather of their reply with Bharat bowler Anil Patel returning superb figures of 5-8. Finally the spotlight fell on Hilton's last man Frazer Leader, who came to the crease with his team one run behind. The youngster promptly drove a boundary to win the game. * HUNTINGDONSHIRE Cricket Board u11 continued their recent improvement with an away draw against a strong London Schools side. London Schools' opening batsman got off to a great start with a stand of 107 before Hunts' spinners Robert Sayer, Josh Burgess and Jack Skidmore halted the onslught and restricted the home side to 219-6. Despite losing an early wicket and facing some tight bowling from London, Hunts dug in, with Elliot Smith (30) blocking one end for 35 overs. Marcus Howard (16) joined Smith in guiding his side to safety, before a quickfire 32 from Sayer raised the total to 106-6 and a respectable draw. * FENSTANTON were grateful for one of their club president's few outings of the season as the defeated Coton by two wickets on Saturday. Farmer Chris Behagg hit a brisk 50 to help his side reach Coton's target of 141 for the loss of eight wickets. Moody Yakub (42), and Andy Taylor (3-17) also made important contributions as Fenstanton won for the second time this season.
