SKIPPER Darryl Clark scored the winner and injured himself as Huntingdon got their season off to a good start at Buckden.
United had the upper hand for much of the match but poor finishing meant that it took a brave finish from Clark on 70 minutes to break the deadlock.
Buckden staged a fightback in the closing stages but United keeper Matt Barnes stood firm to make some excellent saves and earn his side the points.
