St Neots and District Chess Club had a fine start to their season, defeating one of the region's strongest teams in the Fenland Knockout Cup. Victories by Brian Coop, John Dunn and Tim Cleary and a draw from Colin Emery saw off Peterborough by 3.5pts-2.5pts.
