Ramsey piled up the runs as they continued their Cambs & Hunts Premier League title chase yesterday.
Taylor West (80), skipper Michael Cafferkey (71) and James Markland (56) all hit half-centuries in a convincing 102-run success at Saffron Walden in Whiting & Partners Division One.
Second-placed Ramsey amassed 278-9 despite seeing both openers – Ryan Smith and Jordon Cafferkey – dismissed for ducks. West and Cafferkey were involved in a 136-run stand for the third wicket before Markland clobbered four sixes in his speedy 39-ball contribution.
Ramsey then bowled well with Isaac Love’s 3-7 haul including the prized scalp of James Rushford – the leading run-scorer at this level – for 94.
Youngster Mark Saunders and Ryan Smith also took two wickets apiece as Saffron Walden were dismissed for 176.

Ramsey remain 36 points behind long-time leaders Ketton, who triumphed by 46 runs at Eaton Socon yesterday.
The table-toppers prevailed despite the best efforts of home skipper Jonny Carpenter, who hit 100 of his side’s total of 191 in reply to Ketton’s effort of 237-9, when making a third ton of the summer.

Carpenter also led the way with the ball for Eaton Socon as he claimed 3-38, with Matt Taylor and Dan Wood striking twice apiece.
Godmanchester Town were dismissed for just 99 in a 79 run reverse at the hands of Wisbech.
Paul Swannell (4-35) and Elliott Baldwin (3-32) impressed as Town removed the visitors for 178, but only Swannell (35no) had any joy with the bat in a tame reply which ended after just 25.5 overs.
Bottom side St Ives were pushed closer to relegation by a 52 run defeat at the hands of fellow strugglers Histon. Ricky Greiller’s side look doomed as they sit 75 points from safety with just five games to go.
Australian pace ace Michael Ninneman celebrated a first five-wicket haul for Waresley as they saw off reigning champions Foxton.
Ninneman starred with 5-22 as Foxton were removed for 149 and a fine half-century from youngster Josh Smith, who made 59, was the stand-out contribution as Waresley eased past that target with six-and-a-half overs to spare.
Kimbolton were knocked off the Whiting & Partners Division Two summit when losing a top-of-the-table showdown against Sawston & Babraham.
James Biddle’s side came up 15 runs short when dismissed for 169 in a crunch clash at Pound Lane.
Almost half of the local side’s runs came from South African star Jason Redinger (83) while fellow opener Marcus Watkinson contributed 33, but only two other Kimbolton men made it into double-figures.
Redinger was one of four Kimbolton bowlers to take two wickets as Sawston & Babraham reached 183-9 – Martin Burton, Martin Moore and Chris Gilthorpe matched that feat.
Kimbolton now trail their conquerors by nine points with five games to go. Only the title-winners earn promotion this season.
Huntingdon & District disappointed with the bat when going down by 108 runs at Blunham, while relegated Warboys endured another miserable afternoon when skittled for just 58 in a 10-wicket drubbing by Saffron Walden 2nds.
