Eaton Socon and Godmanchester Town both extended their winning starts to the Cambs & Hunts Premier League season with impressive Whiting & Partners Division One victories yesterday.

Eaton Socon produced a nine-wicket demolition of a Ramsey side they skittled for just 75. Only two Ramsey batsmen - Matt Duncan (13) and Charlie Morrison (11) reached double-figures during a dismal display.

The hosts needed just 15-and-a-half overs to breeze to a third consecutive victory in completed games. Matt Pateman was the only wicket to all, three runs short of a half-century.

Godmanchester Town extended their winning streak to three games with a 50-run success against Wisbech at The Parks.

Captain Matt Durrant top-scored with 74 as the hosts accumulated 225 before James Sykes and overseas player Josh Wesson claimed three wickets apiece as Wisbech were removed for 175.

Waresley saw their wait for a 2018 victory continue when going down to Sawston & Babraham by five wickets.

The local side went down to Sawston & Babraham by five wickets after finding the going tough with the bat.

They trundled to 141-9 from 50 overs - a total the visitors better with plenty to spare despite 3-52 from Aussie bowler Tushaar Garg.

Huntingdon & District toasted a first Whiting & Partners Division Two triumph of the summer yesterday.

Navid Ahmed's men saw off fellow strugglers Great Shelford by six wickets in a St Peters Road basement battle.

Skipper Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers with 3-25 as Huntingdon & District dismissed the visitors for 155 before his predecessor as captain took centre stage with the bat.

Craig Leigh hit 63 as he featured in productive partnerships with opener Andrew Wright (32) and overseas man Graham Hudson (38no).

Skipper Jack Haycock played a starring role as St Ives tasted victory for the first time since the opening day of the season.

The local side condemned Ufford Park - the Division Two leaders at the start of play - to a first defeat of the campaign despite having to field a depleted side.

Haycock hit 91 of his side's total of 203-8 before they dismissed the high-flying visitors for 147.

Hot bowling prospect Jack Ranganathan continued his emergence at the age of 13 with 3-33 while Matt Dack claimed 3-36.
