Two local players were part of the Cambridgeshire team that bowed out of the Unicorns Twenty20 competition on Sunday.
Ramsey star Michael Cafferkey and Joe Dawborn, from St Neots, were in the side that lost by 42 runs at Bedfordshire in their final group-stage clash.
Cafferkey hit two boundaries in a quickfire 11 while Dawborn was unbeaten on 20 as Cambs made 120-8 in pursuit of the hosts’ posting of 162-5. Cafferkey and Dawborn had both taken a wicket apiece.
