HUNTINGDON Ladies came out of a hard fought battle with a 1-0 win against a determined Cambridge South side. Hunters started the match looking to win the mid-field battle and in doing so eventually won the game.
Chances were limited and a number of half chances went begging as the first half ended scoreless. The second half continued at a high pace and eventually Hunters were rewarded with a goal scored by the nippy Jacqui O'Neill. South looked dangerous on the break but determined defence saw Hunters through to a well earned victory. In a fine team performance Bernice Bales earned the player of the match award leading from midfield.
