On Sunday Hemingford took on Buckden in the Stocker Cup Final. The game was a close contest but Buckden proved the better team on the day and lifted the trophy.
Hemingford bowler Ivor Stocker, a young 80 years of age, sadly could not play in the final due to holiday commitments. It was Ivor's father who kindly donated the cup to St Ives Bowls Club many years ago and which the County teams keenly contest each year.
