BUCKDEN

MAGNIFICENT Buckden Black U10s signed off after three years together by smashing Sawtry Colts for seven without reply in their final game together as a team.

After three years, the team are disbanding but not before prolific Nathan Shorrock brought up his half century of goals for the season with another brace.

Chris Davenport, Ben Lukey, an own goal, Sam Reynold and Luka Cusick-Knight completed the scorers for Buckden, led by a star man’s performance from captain Taylor Harrison.

Elsewhere, the Buckden Juniors U10 White side finished up with a 6-1 success at Ramsey Colts A.

Joe Brooks (2), Louis Spicer, man of the match Josh Jarvis (2) and Adam Brown firing.

That came on the back of their 3-0 win over Priory Parkside in midweek with Spicer (2) and an own goal securing the spoils.

ALCONBURY

DIVISIONAL winners Alconbury Reds U9 completed their astonishing season with an 11-1 win over KC Cougars that meant they ended the campaign with a 100 per cent record.

A splendid five goals from Jack Goodyear led the way while Samuel Martin (3), George Bush (2) and Oliver Bravo-Escos were also on target.

Jack Chapman netted a lone consolation for Cougars.

A stirring second half comeback from Alconbury Blues U9s saw them come back from 2-0 down to secure a 2-2 draw with Ramsey Colts B, Travis Paynter and Alfie Brinson netting.

On the girls’ side, Alconbury U13s finished their season on a high with a 2-0 win at Burwell thanks to well-worked goals from Courtney Halliday and Chloe Crook.

WARBOYS

MAGICAL Warboys Wizards U8 finished their season by putting a spell on Buckden, winning emphatically 11-1.

Danny Carrigan (5) and Daniel Chivers (4) shared nine goals between them while Ryan Bullard and Liam Baker also scored.

ST IVES RANGERS

RANGERS U10J came from a goal down to run out eventual 7-1 winners over KC Cougars last Thursday evening.

Owen Charge (3), Thomas James, James Elvin and George Cawte (2) all had their shooting boots on.

Then, in their final game on Saturday, Rangers beat Warboys 5-1 to avenge a defeat earlier in the season.

Alex Misinsky, Elvin, an own goal, Charge and Cawte grabbing the goals for the winners.

HEMINGFORD

GOALS from Jack Connell, Charlie Birkin and Riley Barratt secured a 3-2 win for Hemingford Juniors U8s in their final game against Somersham Black.

STUKELEY MEADOWS

MANAGER Paul Pescud’s last game in charge of Stukeley Meadows Youth U10 ended in a 6-1 defeat at home against Fenstanton Youth.

And Harrison Pescud scored for the home side on his final appearance for the team.

BRAMPTON

FINAL league games were played out last week for Spartans U10s who, after a narrow 2-1 defeat by Bluntisham Blasters in midweek, earned a creditable 1-1 draw with Somersham Gold in their final game at the weekend.

Jordan Locke scored against Blasters, with Alex Swanston standing out, while Marcus Reed starred against Golds with the goal coming courtesy of James Dean.

HUNTINGDON ROWDIES

A HAT-TRICK from Henry Smith alongside goals from Lui Carnell and Ollie Robinson saw Huntingdon Rowdies U7s sign off in style against Ramsey.

RAMSEY COLTS

A RIFLED shot from the edge of the box from Kyle Ferrier won Ramsey U15s the 11-a-side Spartak 78 tournament after a win over the host team in the final.

The Rams earlier qualified as runners-up in their group with Jake Temple, Gage Webb (2) and Dan Short netting on the way to the final.
