St Ives Swimming Club star Cathy Brown completed a golden double at the Swim England Masters National Championships.

Brown triumphed in her 200m and 400m freestyle events at the Ponds Forge international pool in Sheffield.

Clubmate Simon Bradford took silver in the 100m freestyle while fellow St Ives swimmers Freddie Clarke, Nicole Bradford, Matt Smith and Terri Smith all clocked lifetime bests at the event.

St Ives also enjoyed success closer to home recently when triumphing in the first round of the Arena National League. They beat Dereham, City of Norwich and hosts Wisbech.

Ollie Fitt was the most successful swimmer on show with a hat-trick of wins while James Quinn claimed a pair of victories.

Ciara Taylor, Anna Freeman, Luke Tunstall, Brown, Fran Crocker, Alice Turner, Janos Kadar, Amy Coleman, Olivia Smith, Jazz Dearley, Harry Everett, Tom Warren, Csanad Rehus, Lottie Flynn, Georgia Spencer, Tom Davis, Simon Bradford, Clark, Alfie Reeve, Ed Cochrane, Ed Bird, Toby Offord, Kiera Mavin, Sian Woods, Joshua Marshall, Isabel Hemingway Stark and Grace Iddon all contributed to a fine team effort.
