THE BRJ Huntingdon Road Running Club has moved to a new home at the Huntingdon Leisure Centre in St Peter's Road.

The running club had been based at the BRJ Social Club in Sallowbush Road since 1988, but a recent growth in club membership has led to the relocation.

BRJ chairman Nigel Maggs said: "On behalf of BRJ RRC I would like to especially thank Bevis Moynan, the leisure centre manager, for his support for our move to this excellent new location and also the BRJ Social Club who have supported us for over 20 years.

"The Huntingdon Leisure Centre has undergone an extensive refurbishment and was seen to offer the BRJ members a very wide range of quality sports, leisure and social facilities."

BRJ members recently elected to support the Pidley Mountain Rescue Team as its nominated charity for 2009-10, and will be conducting a number of fundraising events over the next year.

INFORMATION: Training runs will be held from the Leisure Centre on Tuesday and Thursday evenings departing at 7.30pm. Visit www.brjroadrunners.org.uk for further details.
